Sound System
State of the art technology ensures quality and clarity and all music is on CD/DVD format. For the techno buffs amongst you we use two Dennon professional twin CD players plus DVD mixing desk giving a total of six CD decks and a Dennon Mini Disc player. No fewer than twelve drivers deliver over 4000 watts of crystal clear sound via six speaker cabinets. The sound from the Ecler mixing desk is fed to an electronic crossover unit, which sends the signals to a Rane 30 band graphic equaliser and then on to four separate amplifiers.
The two base speakers are JBL 18" cabinets fed via a 1200 watt amplifier. The lower mid range consists of two 15" drivers and two 12" drivers fed via a 1200W amp. The upper mid range are four 8" drivers fed via a 1000W amp. And finally, the two horn units and a 600W amp complete the top end.
We firmly believe that whether there are 50 or 500 people at a function, sound quality is of utmost importance. An additional Studiomaster mixing desk with voice effects processor is used when Karaoke or other acts are booked. All microphones are Shure SM58s and Sennheiser ew300 radio mics.
If all this is a little too technical, trust me - it sounds great!!!
We can also provide a separate sound system for civil ceremonies if in a different room. We don't think a portable mini hi-fi will do justice to the wedding march. Two 300 Watt speakers mounted on stands with amp & mixer sited at the end of the room will give more impact to the bride's arrival and bride & grooms departure.
Lighting
Our light show is simply spectacular!
Lighting is one of the most important factors in creating a great party atmosphere.
Background lighting is provided by Two 1500W 'Spectres' to create the perfect coloured backdrop. We also carry 4 x Par64 cans & 8 x Par56 cans to supplement ambient lighting. Plus up to 16 pinspots used for table spoting.We use Eight Martin 812 Roboscans along with four imove moving head effect lights, all fully programmable. We also use Two multi coloured lasers along with other effect lighting. High powered dimmable strobes controlled by a sound activated controller (used sensibly and never used if requested not to). With mirror balls and flat spots, Bubble Machines, 2 x 400w ultra violet light cannons finished off with a puff of smoke from the smoke machine or constant supply of haze, All controlled by a dmx mixing desk. The effect is sensational.
We also carry large Flame effect lights to enhance the atmosphere & provide star cloth backdrops. All this is included in the price of the disco.
Music Collection
We probably have the largest music collection of any mobile disco. We currently carry over 25,000 different titles on CD format, along with 4500 titles on DVD. Every title is listed and numbered and can be quickly located by entering the title into a laptop computer. Please note none of our music is in mp3 format or run from a laptop. How many times has your hard drive failed on your home or office computer? Our vast collection allows us to cater for all musical tastes and specialised theme nights.
